Laxman Jhula:

This is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Rishikesh.
In the past legend, Laxman had crossed the river Ganges in this place jute ropes.
Now a suspended iron bridge, built in 1939 exists here. Another suspended bridge
between Shivanand Ashram and Sawarg Ashram is called Ram Jhula.
Bharat Mandir:
This temple built by the Hindu saint Adiguru Shankra Chrya in 12th century. It is
located on the bank of river Ganges .Bharat temple is the oldest temple of Rishikesh
and include the idol of Lord Vishnu.
Triveni Ghat, Rishikesh :
Triveni Ghat placed on the bank of the holy river Ganges where people take holy
dips into the sacred water of the river and offer their prayers. In the evening,
the Aarti ceremony takes place at this famous ghat referred to as Triveni Ghat.
Nilkanth Mahadev:

It is believed that according to Hindu mythology when the ocean
was being churned out for “amrit” by the gods and the demons, first
venom oozed out. Lord Shiva swallowed it here and the place got its name from that
event.
How to reach Rishikesh
By Air: the hilly town of Rishikesh is located in
the Garhwal region of Uttaranchal. There is no airport in the town. But the nearest
airport at Jolly Grant in Dehradun the capital city of the state. The airport is
only 35kms away from Rishikesh.
By Rail: The nearest railhead from Rishikesh is Haridwar.
Haridwar is a major railway station in the region. Many express, mail and tourist
trains link Haridwar to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Allahabad and so on.
By Road: An extensive network of roads connects Rishikesh
to the other cities in Uttaranchal and India, namely: Haridwar, Agra, Chandigarh,
Dehradun, Delhi and Nainital.
