Gandhinagar is the capital of Gujarat State located in India. It is one of the three planned cities of India. Located on the banks of the River Sabarmati, the city is the administrative centre of Gandhinagar District.
Geography
The city sits on the banks of the River Sabarmati, in north-central Gujarat. It spans an area of 205 kmē (79.15 square miles). The Sabarmati frequently dries up in the summer, leaving only a small stream of water.
Tourism
There is a famous akshardham temple in gandhinagar where a lot of people come every year. There is also a deer park in the city which claims to have a variety of deer population.
